Lily is 16 months old, mostly white with big beautiful blue eyes.

She is an active youngster and is good with other dogs and middle age children. Lily currently has 2 Danes and 2 Weimaraners to play with at her foster home. Her foster mom says she is super sweet and likes to sit and lay in her lap. Lily is still a bit nervous when riding in the car and when taking walks. We do not know how she is with smaller children and cats as to date she has not had any interaction them.

Thor is a 7 year old Brindle with natural ears. He is Heartworm negative and current on all vaccines.

Unfortunately as a pup Thor was abused and neglected. During that period of his life he became malnourished and was blinded in the right eye. Due to this he has always had a hard time putting on weight and is now enjoying all the goodies he is getting to help fatten him up. Thor currently weigh 101 lbs.

Thor's foster mommy says he is the sweetest boy and deserves only the best. He loves to sleep on his doggie bed at night which is right next to his foster mommy's bed. He is wonderful with other dogs, cats and kids. He is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly. He is crate trained but likes it best when he is free to roam the house as thunderstorms tend to make him a bit nervous and he likes to find his own comfort place.

Do you have a heart BIG enough to give this boy the home he so truly deserves; a place for him to spend the rest of his years being loved and cherished.

Trouper is a beautiful Blue Brindle boy with golden eyes. He will be 4 years old in April. He enjoys spending time loving on his humans and will never be far from your side. As you can see in his photos Trouper loves to lounge on the sofa chew on one of his toys and take naps in his own bed.

Trouper requests a forever home with a fenced in yard and other doggie brothers or sisters to run and play with. He is also good with children and cats. He is not fond of thunder and storms make him uneasy. So he will need some understanding during thunderstorm season.

If you are looking for a warm, loving and constant companion Trouper may be just the friend for you.

Nolan, a 9 month old Great Dane was hit by a bus a few weeks ago, undergone surgery and is currently recovering in one of our foster homes here at SWGDR. Thank you to Dr. Callum Hay of Veterinary Surgical Services in Tampa for taking such good surgical care of Nolan.

We will have more information for you soon.

UPDATE:

Nolan is recovering very nicely. He is slowly getting some weight on and his coat is greatly improved. He will need an owner with lots of time but he is not at all difficult. Nolan is very loving and is a total goofy Dane pup. Crate trained but not completely housebroken yet and can do some search and destroy in astounding blink of the eye. He is such a leaner he is mostly standing on your feet as you walk him. He has met several children in the neighborhood and greeted them happily. We think he would like to have another dog in his new forever home..

Harli is a very sensitive boy who will need a special family to care for him.

We believe that Harli's eyesight is not very good & this causes him to become fearful in unfamiliar surroundings. He is fine in his current home with a strong female dane who he feels safe with.

Harli does fine indoors & in his fenced yard, but public walks are still scary to him.
